Advocacy Advance is out to help states fully fund, fully staff and fully implement bicycle and pedestrian projects under MAP-21. In 2012, Congress passed a new federal transportation bill, MAP-21. With reduced and weakened dedicated funding, this bill is a disappointment for advocates – but eligibility for bicycling and walking projects remain. This makes Advocacy Advance more important than ever. We stands prepared and well-equipped to work with state and local advocates and agency staff to maximize the federal funding that is available for bicycle and pedestrian programs and projects.
